The Monieson Centre's KIS project focuses on rural economic development needs in Eastern Ontario, a region beginning just east of Canada's largest city, Toronto, and stretching about 500 km to the east, and over 200 km north.  To impact these communities, the Centre has partnered with the 15 Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs) serving the area.

By drawing together the academic knowledge of The Monieson Centre and its many research partners with the community access brought by the CFDCs, this project is positioned to make a signficant difference in Eastern Ontario.
